Why is this campaign important?
More than 20 students holding fully funded scholarships to Irish universities have had their study visas denied. Reported reasons include:
- Not supplying original bank statements
- Inability to account for gaps in education
- Failure to provide evidence that students will return home after their course
We are calling on the Irish Government to rework application requirements to match the reality of living conditions in Gaza and to recognise displacement when reviewing study visas.
